    To provide financial support and analysis to the Senior Finance Analyst and Brand Finance Director in reporting, forecasting, budgeting, maintenance of internal controls, period actual review and other areas as the need arises including pricing and inventory management.

    Primary Duties


    • Have ownership of weekly and monthly reports on everything from revenue and margin to expenses. Create new reports and models as required.
    • Maintain reporting models to ensure reporting reflects most recent forecast.
    • Prepare seasonal files with sales history to be shared with both finance and non-finance colleagues, including insightful analysis and commentary.

    Forecasting and Planning

    • Provide a weekly update of performance versus backlog to senior stakeholders.
    • Support Senior Finance Analyst with short and medium term forecast phasing ahead of Quarterly Forecast and annual Planning deadlines.
    • Adjust monthly targets and communicate with key departments across the business to ensure quarterly forecast is met.
    • Maintain forecasting models (MS Excel) and prepare supporting documents to review with senior stakeholders including P&L summaries, variances versus Last Year, Previous Forecast and Plan.
    • Support Senior Finance Analyst with the submission of brand plans and forecasts into Oracle/Hyperion system in line with corporate deadlines.

    Inventory management

    • Liaise with Sales Team and Demand Planning Manager to facilitate monthly SKU level forecast. Perform analysis on forecast and challenge submission from Sales Team where appropriate.
    • Provide summarised analysis and commentary on the SKU forecast, highlighting any risks or opportunities to senior stakeholders
    • Business Partner with Demand Planning Manager and Sales Team on managing terminal stock, highlighting priorities and demonstrate an understanding of commercial impact to the brand

    Periodic actual result

    • Perform analytical review of P&L and balance sheet vs forecast, prior year and budget and investigate / report on areas of variance.
    • Prepare calculations on provisions for sign off with Senior Finance Analyst
    • Support the Central Finance function with query resolution as required during the close process.

    Other Duties

    • Support the Brand Finance Director and Senior Brand Finance Planning Analyst with other ad-hoc duties including the Seasonal Pricing and Go to Market processes
    • Creation and maintenance of price lists in SAP
    • Any other duties as reasonably requested

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

    • 1 – 3 years’ experience within any finance area of a wholesale or retail organisation
    • Studying CIMA/ACCA, up to part qualified
    • Numerate with strong analytical skills
    • Ability to communicate and work successfully across the organisation/regions
    • Highly motivated, self-starter, full of initiative and able to work autonomously
    • Team player
    • Experience of SAP, BW and Hyperion (or similar) reporting tool ideal
    • Advanced Excel skills (minimum - Vlookup, linked workbooks, Pivot tables) a must
    • MS Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
